What We Do
Infrared Roof Inspection Services
From single-building moisture surveys to multi-site portfolio assessments, we deliver the data commercial building owners need to make confident roofing decisions.
Independent. Certified. Data-Driven.
Every service we offer is performed by ASNT Level II certified thermographers using calibrated thermal imaging equipment and FAA-licensed aerial drones. We do not sell roofing materials or perform roofing work — our only product is accurate, defensible data.
Core Service
Infrared Roof Inspection, We Provide Thermal Imaging For Your Roof
Wet insulation trapped beneath a roof membrane is invisible to the naked eye — but not to a calibrated thermal camera. Our infrared moisture surveys detect subsurface moisture by capturing the differential heat retention between wet and dry insulation after sunset, when thermal contrast is greatest.
- Surveys conducted within two hours after sunset for maximum thermal contrast
- FLIR radiometric thermal cameras with documented accuracy
- GPS-mapped moisture boundaries with square footage calculations
- Compliant with ASTM C1153 and NRCA infrared survey standards
- Detailed written report with annotated thermal imagery
Ideal for: moisture detection, re-roof projects, permitting, roof coating certification, pre-purchase due diligence, warranty claims, insurance investigations, and planned maintenance budgeting.
Advanced Technology
Moisture Survey Mapping
Our FAA Part 107 certified drone pilots deploy thermal-equipped UAVs to capture a complete aerial thermal map of any roof surface — safely, quickly, and without the risk of foot traffic damage to the membrane. Aerial thermography is especially effective for large, complex, or high-slope rooftops.
- FAA Part 107 licensed remote pilots on every flight
- Thermal-equipped UAVs with radiometric data capture
- Full roof coverage including areas inaccessible on foot
- Orthomosaic thermal maps for large multi-building campuses
- No membrane foot traffic — eliminates inspection-related damage risk
Ideal for: large flat roofs, multi-building campuses, high-slope surfaces, single-ply membranes, modified bitumen membranes, and properties where foot traffic is restricted.
Consulting
Expert Evaluation From Certified Roof Consultants
Our Architect & Engineers along with the Registered Roof Consultants (RRC) perform comprehensive visual and technical assessments of existing roof systems. We evaluate membrane condition, flashing details, drainage, penetrations, and overall system performance — We provide excellent recommendations for solving roof issues.
- Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) and licensed architect oversight
- Full visual inspection with photographic documentation
- Remaining service life estimates and capital planning data
- Design review for new construction and re-roofing specifications
- Independent — no contractor relationships or referral fees
Ideal for: capital planning, pre-purchase due diligence, new construction oversight, and re-roofing specification review.
Diagnostic
Pinpoint the Source — Not Just the Symptom
Interior water stains rarely appear directly below the entry point of a leak. Our thermographers use infrared imaging to trace moisture migration through the roof assembly and identify the actual source of infiltration — saving building owners from costly trial-and-error repairs.
- Thermal imaging to trace moisture migration paths
- Correlation of interior staining with roof-level entry points
- Electronic leak detection (ELD) available for membrane verification
- Documented findings suitable for contractor scope-of-work
- Follow-up verification survey available after repairs
Ideal for: active leaks, recurring water intrusion, post-storm investigations, and pre-repair verification.
Forensic
Forensic-Level Analysis for Complex Building Failures
When a roof or building envelope failure leads to litigation, insurance disputes, or contractor warranty claims, you need an independent expert who can document the facts. Our certified thermographers and licensed professionals provide forensic-level investigations with reports that hold up to legal scrutiny.
- Expert witness testimony and litigation support
- Insurance claim documentation and dispute resolution
- Contractor warranty investigation and performance evaluation
- Peer review of contractor-submitted reports
- Defensible written reports with chain-of-custody documentation
Ideal for: insurance claims, contractor disputes, litigation support, and warranty investigations.
Advisory
Independent Guidance on Repair vs. Replacement
After a moisture survey identifies problem areas, building owners face a critical decision: targeted repairs or full replacement? Our remediation consultants analyze the data, evaluate system age and condition, and provide an independent recommendation — with no financial stake in which direction you choose.
- Data-driven repair vs. replacement analysis
- Contractor bid scope preparation and review
- Material and system specification guidance
- Construction oversight and quality assurance
- Post-repair verification survey to confirm effectiveness
Ideal for: post-survey planning, contractor selection, re-roofing projects, and coating applications.
Laboratory Analysis
Roof Core Testing To Determine Moisture Content
Infrared surveys identify suspect moisture areas — roof core testing confirms them. Our team extracts physical core samples from flagged locations to verify moisture content, insulation condition, and roof assembly composition. Core data provides the ground-truth evidence needed for accurate repair scoping, insurance claims, and warranty disputes.
- Core samples extracted from infrared-identified suspect areas
- Moisture content verification and insulation condition assessment
- Roof assembly identification — layers, materials, and thickness
- Laboratory analysis available for detailed material evaluation
- Core locations documented with GPS coordinates and photographs
Ideal for: confirming infrared findings, insurance documentation, warranty claims, pre-bid verification, and forensic investigations.
